This synthetic leather can be washed and disinfected as often as you like with a common care product and thus always remains clean even when used continuously in training.

 * PADDING - The inner core of the pads consists of a 4-layer composition of effective cushioning and slightly lighter foams. These slightly lighter foams absorb light to strong hits and kicks very gently and comfortably, making it easier to forgive many technical errors and reduce pain and the risk of injury. The weight of the pads is significantly lower than that of the hard professional models, which does not put as much strain on the arms and is significantly lighter and more comfortable to hold. The claim that Quantum makes with these pads is clear: to demand the sporting performance of the martial artist but to also protect the health of the athlete and their partner who have to hold the pads.

 * SHAPE - The perfect, slightly curved shape of the Quantum RS1 Thai Pads is the result of decades of experience and is ideally adapted to the shape of the forearms and hands. The whole hand fits easily and comfortably into the opening, allowing the hand to be straight and natural in line with the forearm. * INNOVATIVE VELCRO STRAPS - The improved Velcro straps on the Quantum RS1 Thai Pads are the result of countless trials and tests. This research has finally led to the development of Velcro straps that hold securely without unraveling during training. There is probably nobody who has trained with Thai pads and who was not annoyed that the Velcro straps lost their holding power after a short time and had to be fixed with adhesive tape in order to be able to continue using the pads at all. The reason for this is that those Velcro straps are too short and too narrow, which means they don't have enough power to stay closed during training. Because they often open up on their own during training, the Velcro straps wear out very quickly and after a short time they no longer hold up.

Quantum solved the problem with two innovative and technically well thought-out adjustments:

1. Thanks to the straight hand-forearm line, the straps could be pushed more towards the wrist and closer together, making them significantly wider without interfering with the wrist or elbow joint. 2. Due to the improved, deeper positioning of the metal loops for the Velcro straps, the length of the straps could be significantly increased.

The result is a much larger Velcro surface which ensures that the Velcro straps hold much better and do not come undone during training.

* INNOVATIVE VELCRO STRAPS - Die verbesserten Klettverschlüsse der Quantum RS1 Thai Pads sind das Ergebnis unzähliger Versuche und Tests. Diese Forschungen haben schließlich zur Entwicklung von Klettverschlüssen geführt, die sicher halten, ohne sich während des Trainings zu entwirren. Es gibt wohl niemanden, der mit Thaipads trainiert hat und sich nicht darüber geärgert hat, dass die Klettbänder nach kurzer Zeit ihre Haltekraft verloren haben und mit Klebeband fixiert werden mussten, um die Pads überhaupt weiter benutzen zu können. Der Grund dafür ist, dass diese Klettverschlüsse zu kurz und zu schmal sind und somit nicht genug Kraft haben, um beim Training geschlossen zu bleiben. Da sie sich beim Training oft von selbst öffnen, verschleißen die Klettverschlüsse sehr schnell und halten schon nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr.

Quantum hat das Problem mit zwei innovativen und technisch ausgeklügelten Anpassungen gelöst:

1. Dank der geraden Hand-Unterarm-Linie konnten die Gurte mehr in Richtung Handgelenk und enger zusammengeschoben werden, wodurch sie deutlich breiter wurden, ohne das Hand- oder Ellenbogengelenk zu beeinträchtigen. 2. Durch die verbesserte, tiefere Positionierung der Metallschlaufen für die Klettbänder konnte die Länge der Bänder deutlich erhöht werden.

Das Ergebnis ist eine viel größere Klettfläche, die dafür sorgt, dass die Klettbänder viel besser halten und sich beim Training nicht lösen.
